Brief Biography of John L. Stanesic
John was born on May 6, 1925, in Versailles Boro, Pennsylvania, to Anna and David Stanesic. He entered the U.S.Navy on August 9, 1943, and trained in the Hospital Corps School in Bainbridge, Maryland. He graduated from McKeesport Vocational High School, and was employed by the G.C. Murphy Co Warehouse and the Christy Park Works prior to entering the service. His brothers' names were, George, Edward, Walter, Robert, David, and Thomas.
