Information on Russell Fontana provided by his daughter, Catherine Fontana Neri Russell Fontana was born on April 8, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in a proud Italian-American community. He attended Waller High School in Lincoln Park, along with his wife and sweetheart, Millie Vella. At the time of his death, he was married to Mildred (Mellie) Vella Fontana, and had an infant daughter named Catherine. Catherine Fontana Neri is his only child and lives in Wheaton, Illinois, with her husband, Richard. Russell is also survived by three grandchildren, (Scott & Brian Neri, and Christen Neri Reimer) and nine great-grandchildren, (Matthew, Henry, Paige, Megan, Claire, Charlie, Owen, Miles and Ben). |
