The Lerryn History Society Visits Sherman Tank Memorial

Sue Daw and members of The Lerryn History Society (Cornwall) recently arranged to meet Dean Small
on the 24th of July at the Sherman Tank Memorial in Torcross.  Dean writes:

"As you can see, the weather was perfect and I spoke to them for almost an hour!  About all aspects of Exercise Tiger andmy father's determination to create a lasting memorial to those who lost their lives.  many of the group had little knowledge of what happened on that fateful night, or indeed, the troubles that my father had in recovering the Sherman Tank.  I have to say, both Sue and all of the group could not have been more appreciative of our meeting and my dad's determination and sacrifice.  Indeed they very generously donated £50 to Exercise Tiger Memorial, Ltd, for which we are very grateful.  I truly enjoyed meeting them:"
